Snehathin Idayanaam Yeshuve (Song 242) is a hymn from the Marthoma Kristheeya Keerthanangal collection, penned by V. Nagal and sung to the tune “Tenderly Guide Us.” Addressing Jesus as the loving Shepherd who alone is the way, the truth and the eternal life, as in John 14:6, each verse names what only He can do: seek sinners and give His life for the sheep, take away sin and quench the fire of wrath, open the way to the Father and the Holy Spirit, bear our weakness, and give the crown of life. Every verse ends with the same answer: there is none but Jesus.
